Over the last couple of years this blog has taken a new shape, new form and in some ways even a new audience.
What was once a blog for recent college grads to come and get some positive reinforcement has turned into a personal finance and business resource for entrepreneurs across the globe.
With the launch of Make Money Your Honey last year the brand message has changed. It’s no longer just about lifestyle design in general, it’s about how to have a better relationship with your business, your money and yourself.
I’ve also changed. When I quit my job almost two years ago I was still experimenting a lot in terms of where I wanted this brand to go. Did I want to focus on business? What about health and how movement affects us? Did I want to teach about spiritual principles? Did I want to be a general life coach?
I gave myself the space to experiment, but more importantly I jumped right in and started talking to my audience and a personal and individual level. It’s how Make Money Your Honey was born. It’s how I was able to build an online course. It’s how I’ve been able to keep creating blog content that speaks to you.
Most of all, it’s how I found out there was a dire need for someone to speak to you about money and business from a more loving perspective. We as a generation direly need guidance and positive reinforcement when it comes to work and money, and I’m proud that this blog has taken that on as it’s path. And besides, thanks to you I learned that I *LOVE* talking about money. I learned that you are craving this kind of content.
Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes…
Furthermore, as I mentioned recently, 2015 is the year we’re going pro. As such the last few weeks have been filled with some major and exciting changes behind the scenes.
My coaching practice is at full capacity for the month of February.
I’ve got a hefty writing pipeline filled with awesome clients.
I’ve got speaking events on the books through May.
We’ve got a new team member to help with accounting (I personally consider this to be a huge step in going pro).
The amazing Rachael Kay Albers is going to be re-designing this site to reflect the new form it’s taken in the last year or so.
We’re in the process of moving from AWeber, E-Junkie and a bunch of other systems that help us run this site to Infusionsoft so we can create a better experience for readers, clients and customers.
The application to get Make Money Your Honey trademarked has been submitted and received.
What do all of these changes mean for you?
1. I will be taking a hiatus from blogging the next few weeks while my team and I sort everything out behind the scenes. Between the training for Infusionsoft, a full client load for both writing and coaching, all the boring accounting stuff for taxes, speaking at different events and all the work that comes with re-designing the site I don’t want to run the risk of producing mediocre blogs because of being spread out too thin. Instead, I want to focus on building this blog and business to it’s best capacity so when the new site is live we can better serve you.
2. We are moving the email list to Infusionsoft. If you are already on the list you do not need to do anything. If you’d like to join the email list to be notified when the new site is live you can click here.
3. The March group coaching for the Make Money Your Honey Academy is being postponed until it’s next round in August. Rachael will also be redesigning the Academy so it didn’t make sense to do group coaching if you may not be able to access the materials. If you have already purchased access to the Academy we will let you know when the site is going down so you can download the materials.
4. Thanks to Infusionsoft we can start taking affiliates more seriously. I want to PAY YOU to help me spread the word about services and products. This is part of what we’re working on behind the scenes and I will let you know when an affiliate program is available.
5. The second book launch is also being postponed until all of these changes have taken place. The good news is I’ve got a draft and conducted some awesome interviews with you all for stories to be featured within the book.
